We took our car to Ben and he was very honest in telling us the problem with the car and how much we would be spending. He spent time looking for the best way to take care of the transmission problem so the expense would be lower. Thanks Ben for your honesty and help. They did a great job on my transmission rebuild, making sure it was 100% before giving it back. They gave me a fair price and a warranty to top it all off. Couldn't have asked for better service.
After a long search for someone who was able to help me with my transmission problems I finally found the place. I spoke to Ben if he was able to fix my transmission and without hesitation he said yes! Not only were they able to fix my issue, they are incredibly fast! It took a total of two days for them to fix it when other shops said it would take about 2 weeks. Ben also gave me a great price! I would recommend everyone to AAMCO in Oceanside!
Had to get my transmission rebuilt on my 96 Dodge Ram 1500 this last month. First local place I took it too in Carlsbad said they wouldn't rebuild (even though they weren't sure if it was just a part of the transmission that needed work or the whole thing) and pushed me towards spending $3k to get replace the whole thing with a used one, no warranty. My friend suggested I get someone else to check it out as it could just be a part of the transmission, rather than replace the whole thing. Decided to give AAMCO a try. Jimmy was my contact at AAMCO and was straightforward with me from the get go explaining everything. They found out nothing mechanically was wrong with the transmission, just a few parts needed to be re-built, not the whole thing. They had me back on the road in 2 days and gave me a 1-year warranty on their work. Saved me some cash, were honest and upfront and got me back on the road quickly. Couldn't ask for much better. Truck is running great!
I've been to a few different aamco, one in Miramar and the other in Oceanside. Both had the same quality of service, but the one in Oceanside left a stellar impression. I had a great experience every time I go there. The price quotes I got were cheaper than other places. When they did my transmission, they also gave me a free oil change that I didn't even expect. Service was quick yet thorough. The owner Ben is very personable. I coincidentally ran into him at the mall, and he actually remembers his customers, so I had few minutes of chit-chat with him there also. He treats you like a friend rather than just "every other customer".
We came to AAMCO because of the reputation for quality service. The store manager went way beyond our expectations. His communication and happy request for repairs was very much appreciated. We will be back.

Customer service is great and honest, if they can’t do something they’ll talk you about it without even charging you.. I would go back there without hesitation.
Customer service is exceptional at the Oceanside location. As a female, we tend to get the run around when it comes to cars and mechanics....I did not feel that way at all here. Very honest, very nice crew. I will certainly come back and do business with Ben and Mickey. Thanks guys! If you're not sure where to go....go to Aamco!
